Fishing report
The walleye bite is turning on well with a lot of walleyes of all sizes starting to come in. It's a typical early summer bite. Jigs and minnows are your best bet. Bottom bouncers and spinners are just beginning to take some fish.
The best bite appears to be west of Hell Creek up the lake, but some catches are also coming in out of Sutherlin and Snow Creek.
If you're a smallmouth bass fan, they're beginning their summer bite, too. Look for the rocky areas and you'll find smallmouths. As to size, quite a few are over two pounds with some pushing four pounds.
This is the start of a hot month of fishing out of Hell Creek. Make sure you join in on the fun.
